The Journey in Art:
Art offers an a means to explore and understand life’s elements. Drawn to the sacred and ageless ,the farmlands and waters of my native Washington and the urban landscapes of New York City, I have developed several series of paintings surrounding these subjects. As a visual artist, I divide my time between watercolor, acrylic and oils, and have paintings in many private collections.
My work has been shown in Italy, Portugal, and locally at the Woodridge Gallery, the Kirkland Performance Center, the Gallery 113, the KAC store, The Gardens Town Square, Overlak e Hospital’and The Grange Café in Duvall.
Previously, my professional life drew me to explore and understand the human psyche as a therapist, and for twenty years I was privileged to participate in the dialogue of character, the unconscious and family history, working in several health care and educational settings as well as private practice.
When I dove into the world of painting a few years ago, it was my first opportunity to satisfy the long-on- the- shelf artist within. I have studied with Michelle Cooper, William Hewson, Will Bonner, and Lianna Bennet and spend as much time as possible, when not off fiddling somewhere, in the painting studio, feeling very lucky.
